DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH: Businessman invests own £100k to charity

Determined and passionate businessman Paul Kuznecovs was recently very successful in his recruitment business and with his own earnings of £100,000, he astonishingly devoted all of his money to the development of the social networking website platform, plus the running and support of the registered charity Friendship Zone.

Paul made a life changing decision at the young age of 21 to move from a deprived family in Latvia, to head for the UK in search of a better life. Paul is a merely a simple man with a dream – to help others. When he first arrived in England he worked for the Christian Trust. Here Paul had a realisation that life is not about making selfish decisions, but that it is about helping others around you and enhancing other peoples’ lives.

Paul began his own recruitment agency that went on to win an award from the Barclays Trading Places, and last year he was successful enough to earn £100,000 profit. With this money, Paul did not buy a new house or car like most of us would, but he invested half into the social networking website platform, and the other half went into the support and running of Friendship Zone charity.

Although having a difficult and demanding life, Paul is a firm believer that ‘everybody has a dream, and every dream is possible.’ Paul strongly believes in charities and alongside running his business and Friendship Zone, he also works for charitable hospital St. Andrews which is a private hospital for people with mental health issues.

The charity Friendship Zone which Paul invested all of his money into, is a social networking site that promotes friendship, allows people to make friends online, play games, listen to music and most importantly apply for support through various programmes. This charity is unique like no other, as 100% of the revenues are reinvested back into the community and charitable projects suggested to Friendship Zone by its members. Friendship Zone is a charity with a difference. They do not ask for money, it earns money through hard work and cost effective marketing services to local or nationwide companies.

Paul began this charity with the dream that he could give hope and support to people in order to make a dream come true, and to also generate activities for teenagers in support of keeping them off the streets, and giving them something worthwhile to do with their spare time.

Friendship Zone currently has two main programmes that members can apply for. Firstly is the ‘Birthday Dream Party’, and secondly is the ‘Youth Sport Infrastructure Development’.

Paul is currently continuing his battle to help people in and around Northamptonshire to achieve their dreams. He is currently looking to expand Friendship Zone’s number of users so that they are able to interact, converse and make more friends.
