Make a Dream Come True:- Charity Helps Pursue Careers

30.11.2009

Hardworking Latvian Juris Ploters came to England with a dream, and his dream has been fulfilled. With the help of the charity Friendship Zone Juris has been able to continue his career as an IT teacher, of which he formally was for 25 years back in Latvia.

Juris moved to England 3 years ago in search of a better life for him and his family. He worked in England doing any job he could find to support himself and his loved ones, however always dreamed of going back to his old career of being a teacher. This dream was hard to fulfil in England, as he found it difficult to pursue this career in a foreign country.

This all changed when he was put in contact with Paul Kuznecovs (creator of the charity Friendship Zone). Juris started as a volunteer for the charity, and one year on he is now IT Manager. Juris also is acting as a teacher giving computer training to new employees. Juris says that ‘This is not just my job, it is a hobby. I have love and passion for it’. Through the charity Friendship Zone Juris was able to fulfil his dream here in England.

Friendship Zone is a social networking web site that promotes friendship, allows people to make friends online, take part in quizzes, listen to music and most importantly apply for grants which help people achieve their dreams. This charity is unique like no other, as 100% of the revenues are reinvested back into the community and charitable projects suggested to Friendship Zone by its members.
